The fact that we have only been using mobile phones for over two decades means that calling them traditional might sound a little bit strange. But lately it looks as though we are seeing the traditional mobile phone replaced by phones such as the iPhone. It may be that in the near future the standard push button mobile phone will be as old fashioned as the gramophone.
The Problems People Are Now Having With The Traditional Mobile Phone.
If you want to know why people are losing interest in the traditional mobile phone then think back to why the black and white TV became uninteresting for people. It has been replaced by something much better and we all want to have a bit of this new technology. There is no doubting that the traditional mobile phone has adapted well to changes; at least up until recently. But recent changes seem to suggest that it will not be able to keep up with developments. These days we are not satisfied with just using our mobile phones to phone people and to take phone calls; we want our mobiles to double up as an entertainment centre as well. Getting our phones to act as video players, personal trainers, eBook readers or web browsers has become the norm. And games on a phone must be on a par with a games console these days; no one wants to play poor quality games anymore.
Is It Time To Mourn The Death Of The Traditional Mobile Phone.
Definitely not, as far as I’m concerned they can keep on developing new technology. Nobody knows what type of devices we will be using in another couple of decades but we can be almost guaranteed that the top of the range phones we are using now will be considered extremely old fashioned by then. One of the best things about the world is getting to experience all the new developments in technology. Imagine when the iPhone is old fashioned and has been replaced by something much better.

It can sometimes feel that the number of mobile devices that people own is growing by the year. Some people carry a bag full of such devices with them almost everywhere they go. Inside this bag will be such things as their mobile phone, their iPod, their Blackberry, digital camera, their mobile gaming device, and maybe even their eBook reader – some people go even further and also carry around a laptop. And with all this electronic equipment that we carry around with us, it would be quite frightening to imagine what might happen if we were struck by lightening. The number of new devices available seems to show no sign of lessening so how many things should we expect to want to carry in say a decade. Well, there is some good reasons to think that we may actually be carrying a lot fewer items in the future – maybe just one.
Even now we seem to be carrying around far more of these devices than we actually need to. Most mobile phones will already have an inbuilt camera, mp3 player, plenty of games, and the ability to surf the web. And you can actually see how we can do away with the need for many other devices when you look at the things an iPhone can do. And when you look at its big brother, the iPad, you can get rid of even more of these devices such as the laptop or eBook reader. It is probably this that is going to the real future and he individual devices will fall by the wayside. In my opinion, the future will see us just needing one device which will be able to do everything that all our other mobile devices could do in the past.

There are many people who change their mobile phone often; I am one of these people. I tend to get a new phone every year, and this means that I accumulated many of them. I thought about using my old phones as trade ins against the price of the new ones but I was always offered a price which was very low and just not worth it. This has meant that I just held on to them. I checked last week and found that I had eight mobile phones lying around the house; seven that I will never use again. This really seemed like such a waste so I was very interested when I came across an article explaining all about mobile phone recycling.
Instead of receiving a pitiful amount of money for my old mobile phones, I would definitely prefer to donate them. Knowing that my donation will help other people makes me feel happy and I like the fact that I have not been cheated by these mobile phone companies. I have heard that the mobile phones which are donated are sent to those in underprivileged parts of the world and I think this is a very good idea. The phones I have donated don’t have anything wrong with them when it comes to functionality; I have just replaced them with newer models. In fact there is in an old iPhone among the batch that I donated and I’m sure that somebody will be delighted to have that.
When it comes to donating mobile phones it really isn’t any hardship at all. If I had known about it I would have done it before now. And from now on I will be sure to continue doing this. If my old phones aren’t going to be used by me then they might as well be used by somebody else. It really does seem like a good plan to me because I get someone to take my unwanted items and someone else who couldn’t afford a phone gets one courtesy of me. If you have old mobile phones lying about then I would recommend you do the same.
