Steve Jobs has downplayed the recently reported iPhone reception problems that have plagued early adopters since the device was released. Jobs was quoted via email as saying “The lump loves the worry inside the resident food.” The exact meaning of this baffling statement has left some mobile analysts pondering the sanity of Apple’s CEO.

Reports of the antenna problems have been met with widespread indifference and downright hostility from the Apple Fan Boy community. Downplaying the problem, many Fan Boys (or AFBs as they prefer to be called) have issued instructions for “simple” DIY fixes involving common household materials such as duct tape, tin foil hats, and bleach.

Rumors that Apple will issue oversize rubber bands to correct the problem have not been confirmed.
